SUSS MicroTec Cuts 2026 Revenue Guidance, Relocates Production
The company now expects 2026 revenue of €405 million to €425 million and an EBIT margin of 5% to 7%. It will end system and module production at its Garching headquarters, concentrating production in Zhubei and Sternenfels; the restructuring affects about 70 employees.
SUSS MicroTec SE has announced a strategic decision to concentrate its production activities at its manufacturing sites in Zhubei, Taiwan, and Sternenfels, Germany, effectively ending system and module production at its Garching headquarters. This restructuring involves an adjustment of the workforce affecting approximately 70 employees, which the company intends to implement in a socially responsible manner. The initiative is expected to incur one-off expenses of approximately €6.2 million, with €4.5 million falling within the 2026 fiscal year.
Consequently, the company has lowered its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between €405 million and €425 million, with an EBIT margin forecast of 5% to 7%, citing both these one-off costs and supply chain constraints for certain components. Management stated that these measures are intended to improve scalability and operational efficiency for future growth.
