Institutions offered to sell total bids worth ¥862B in 1-3 yr JGBs vs actual bids accepted by BOJ ¥#B - Institutions offered to sell total bids worth ¥#B in 5-10 yr JGBs vs actual bids accepted by BOJ ¥#B - Institutions offered to sell total bids worth ¥#B in >25 yr JGBs vs actual bids accepted by BOJ ¥#B - Institutions offered to sell total bids worth ¥#B in inflation-indexed JGBs vs actual bids accepted by BOJ ¥#B **Note: In July 2024 BOJ announced its intention to decrease the amount of its monthly purchases of Japanese government bonds (JGBs) by approximately ¥400B each quarter, aiming for a reduction from ~¥5.7T per month (as at July, 2024) to ~¥2.9T by January-March 2026. - On June 16th, 2026 BOJ said it will reduce the planned amount of its monthly purchases of JGBs by about ¥200B each calendar quarter (i.e. the interim reduction plan decided in June 2025 will be maintained). - Then, the BOJ will pause bond tapering from April 2027; To keep monthly pace of JBG buying at around ¥2T.
