South Korean shares close 0.30% higher after SK Hynix IPO plan put on hold

The KOSPI closed up 16.53 points, or 0.30%, at 5,550.30 on Friday, recovering early losses. SK Hynix shares jumped after the company cancelled a share sale plan for its US unit.
