The FTSE 100 Index Closes 0.28% Lower

The FTSE 100 Index dropped 30 points or 0.28 percent on Thursday to close at 10722 points. Losses were led by Antofagasta (-6.17%), Fresnillo (-5.66%) and Anglo American (-5.60%). Offsetting the fall, top gainers were Rentokil Initial (8.39%), London Stock Exchange (7.86%) and Smith & Nephew (4.00%).
