European Stocks Head for Lower Open
European equity markets were poised to open lower on Thursday amid renewed selling in technology and artificial intelligence stocks fueled by persistent concerns over the sustainability of heavy AI investments. Sentiment was also pressured by rising oil prices following a deadly attack on a Saudi oil field, escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and intensifying inflationary concerns. Investors across Europe are also monitoring Eurozone new car registrations, French business confidence data, and the Turkish central bank’s latest policy decision. On the corporate front, Nestlé and Roche reported strong third-quarter sales growth, while SAP posted faster-than-expected expansion in its cloud business. In premarket trading, Euro Stoxx 50 futures fell 1%, while Stoxx 600 futures declined 0.6%.
