Fabric.AI and Kopin Model Up to 60% Higher GPU Utilization

A joint white paper says current AI GPUs sit idle half to two-thirds of the time due to copper interconnect limits. It models MicroLED optics cutting interconnect energy by about 80% and expanding a one-hop AI pod from 72 GPUs to about 1,000; a public demonstration is slated for January.
