Quantinuum Reports 99.9995% Accuracy on Helios Quantum Computer

Helios had five errors per million operations, a tenfold improvement over its September record and a lower error rate than Google's previously published benchmark. A new error-correction method cut remaining logical errors by a factor of 12 with each tested increase in code distance. Quantinuum says the results bring accuracy within the target range for its planned Apollo fault-tolerant quantum computer, expected by 2029.
