The Nikkei 225 Index Closes 0.62% Lower

The Nikkei 225 Index decreased 406 points or 0.62 percent on Monday to close at 64918 points. The decline was led by Takara (-5.65%), Taiyo Yuden (-4.92%) and Lasertec Corp (-4.44%). On the upside, the strongest performers were Toho (7.37%), Resonac Holdings (3.42%) and Inpex (3.22%).
