US Cash Soymeal — Basis offers hold steady, soybean harvest widens

CHICAGO, Oct 16 (Reuters) — Cash basis offers for soymeal were flat in the US Midwest on Friday as increased harvesting of soybeans has supplied processors with fresh crushing materials, merchandisers said. Dry weather forecast over the coming week was expected to accelerate soybean harvesting across the Midwest. US soymeal export sales for 2026/2027 were 366,300 metric tons in the week that ended on October 8, the US Department of Agriculture reported. Analysts expected 200,000 to 600,000 metric tons, according to a Reuters poll. On the Chicago Board of Trade, December soymeal futures touched a one-week low before ending down $2.70 at $357.10 per ton.
