OPEC oil output jumps in September, Reuters survey shows
OPEC September output rises 1.78 million bpd Biggest gains in Saudi Arabia, Iraq Output still far below quotas By Alex Lawler LONDON, Oct 16 (Reuters) — OPEC oil output rose in September, a Reuters survey found, led by gains in Saudi Arabia and Iraq despite continued constraints on exports due to the war in Iran and a US blockade on Iran's shipments. Crude output by the 11-member Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries rose by 1.78 million barrels per day month-on-month to 21.49 million bpd, the survey found. Seven members of the OPEC+ producer group, which includes allies such as Russia, had agreed to increase production in September, but the Middle East conflict made that impossible. The Reuters survey is based on data from companies that track flows, and information provided by sources at oil companies, OPEC and consultants. (Reporting by Alex Lawler.
