Netflix has appointed former Walt Disney executive Peter Rice as chief content officer, succeeding Bela Bajaria, who is departing after nearly a decade. Rice is due to begin on October 26 and will oversee series, films and live events across regions. Netflix shares were down 2.58% in premarket trading.
