IMF chief says AI risks may exceed opportunities without safeguards

BANGKOK, Oct 16 (Reuters) — IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva said on Friday that the risks of artificial intelligence may exceed its opportunities if there are no safeguards. Georgieva said the world needs an ethical foundation for artificial intelligence and she was not sure that society was there yet.
