TABLE — FOB US cash millfeed prices
CHICAGO, Oct 15 (Reuters) — US cash millfeed prices held steady on Thursday, anchored by ample supplies of the feed ingredient. Flour mills in the Midwest and Plains were running about six days a week on average, generating plentiful byproduct supplies, dealers said this week. Cheaper prices for corn, a competing feed ingredient, hung over the market as well. Chicago Board of Trade December corn futures settled down 2-3/4 cents on Thursday at $4.78 per bushel. The December corn contract has been trading roughly sideways this week, consolidating after hitting a two-month low on October 9 at $4.70-1/4.
