Exclusive: Newport Specialty Partners names Ciarrocchi head of strategic partnerships

By Chris Munro Oct 15 (The Insurer) — Newport Specialty Partners has hired Stephen Ciarrocchi as head of strategic partnerships to focus on building relationships with specialty insurers, the company confirmed to Program Manager. Ciarrocchi has almost three decades of experience, having worked at companies including CIBA, Falls Lake Insurance and Zurich. Newport said Ciarrocchi would lead the company’s strategic partnership and growth initiatives. He will also work with Newport’s partner companies to support organic growth, including through distribution development, new business opportunities and strategic relationships, the company said. In a statement to Program Manager, Newport CEO Dennis DiCapua said Ciarrocchi “brings a combination of industry experience, relationships and business development expertise that aligns extremely well with what we are building.” Ciarrocchi’s most recent role was as head of business development at CIBA Insurance Services.
