The approximately 9,000-square-foot office brings the company closer to policymakers, government leaders, defense partners and customers. Hidden Level, a leader in passive radar, radio frequency (RF) detection, and distributed sensing for airspace and spectrum awareness, today announced the opening of a new office in Washington, D.C. as its live sensor network for the National Capital Region (NCR) continues to grow. The expansion comes amid increasingly sophisticated UAS-related threats and growing demand for airspace awareness technology.

Hidden Level doubled its regional Airspace Monitoring Service (AMS) customer base in six months. Its sensor network has been operational in the NCR since 2021, providing real-time data to government, law enforcement, and partners. The network has detected unauthorized UAS activity over high-value locations, including military bases such as Fort McNair. “We’ve been building our network in the National Capital Region for years and are encouraged to see more customers utilizing the crucial data it provides,” said Jeff Cole, Founder and CEO of Hidden Level.

“Having a team and space in Washington puts us closer to those customers, partners, and policymakers working to keep Americans safe. We will continue to expand this coverage network, both here in the U.S. and abroad.” In connection with increasing demand for expanded NCR coverage, Hidden Level was also recently added to a second $100 million Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contract. This OTA, issued through the Department of War’s Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), provides additional pathways for U.S.

government customers to procure and deploy Hidden Level’s hardware and software platforms. The new office will serve as a hub for Hidden Level’s business operations in the region and complement Hidden Level’s existing footprint in Syracuse, New York, which includes its corporate headquarters and advanced manufacturing facilities. Hidden Level’s sensing technology passively detects and identifies RF energy, with applications for counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) and airspace security. Its infrastructure has been deployed across defense, homeland security and critical infrastructure missions.
