XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) dropped 4.6% over a single day as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) struggled near $80,000. Bullish technical signals and growing adoption of the XRP Ledger may offer support for a recovery. SoSoValue data showed U.S. spot XRP ETFs taking in $740,410 in net inflows for the day, ending a three-day run of zero inflows.

Crypto chart analyst Ali Martinez pointed to several TD Sequential buy signals for XRP, while warning that its hourly parallel channel leaves room for a decline toward $1.25 before a meaningful recovery. A rebound from that support could take XRP to $1.40—$1.42 if buyers emerge, with resistance near $1.50 and a possible advance to $1.60. Technical indicators suggest a possible near-term rebound, while broader institutional use cases could improve XRP’s longer-term adoption prospects. Growing XRPL Adoption Ripple executives discussed improving prospects for institutional adoption of the XRPL.

On the Talking Tokens podcast at Armada Acquisition (NASDAQ: XRPN ) Closing Bell, David Schwartz, Ripple’s CTO Emeritus and an Evernorth strategic advisor and board member, said the technology needed for banks and asset managers to adopt XRPL is largely in place, Schwartz said, identifying regulatory uncertainty and integration challenges—not technical limitations—as the remaining obstacles to institutional adoption. He noted that regulatory headwinds are increasingly becoming tailwinds, but direct XRP holdings on corporate balance sheets remain difficult without structures such as publicly listed entities.

Schwartz described tokenization as the first stage of adoption, with further opportunities in lending, investing, payments and broader financial services built around tokenized real-world assets. Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla said the company plans to do more than hold XRP. Its strategy is to deploy its holdings, generate yield and reinvest the returns to increase the amount of XRP backing each share.
