Asian cash markets finished lower: the Nikkei 225 closed down 4.9 percent, the Hang Seng closed down 1.03 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed down 2.46 percent, the KOSPI closed down 7.57 percent and the ASX 200 closed down 0.73 percent. Asian volume leaders were Xiaomi up 2.81 percent, Alibaba down 3.35 percent, SoftBank Group down 9.33 percent, Meituan down 2.14 percent and AIA Group down 0.34 percent.
