India's net direct tax collections rise 13.2% during April 1 — October 14

NEW DELHI, Oct 15 (Reuters) — India's net direct tax collections rose 13.2% year-on-year to 13.38 trillion rupees ($140.9 billion) between April 1 and October 14, the country's tax department said in a statement on Thursday. Direct tax collections, which include corporate and income tax, rose 14.9% year-on-year on gross basis to 16.03 trillion rupees during the same period, the department said.
