UK economy beats forecasts to grow by 0.1% in August

LONDON, Oct 15 (Reuters) — Britain's economy grew by a better-than-expected 0.1% in August, official data showed on Thursday. Economists polled by Reuters had mostly forecast a 0.1% month-on-month decline in gross domestic product.
