Australia shares set to fall, NZ slips
Oct 15 (Reuters) — Australian shares were expected to fall on Thursday, likely hurt by commodity stocks dampened by weakening underlying metal prices, while hotter-than-expected US inflation data stoked concerns that interest rates could remain elevated for longer. The local share price index futures fell 0.2%, a 3.9-point discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index close, after ending 0.6% lower on Wednesday. New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index fell 0.2% to 13,726.91 points by 2150 GMT.
