Gold and Silver Futures Settle Lower After U.S. Inflation Tops Estimates

Gold and silver futures settled lower after September U.S. consumer inflation came in above estimates, lifting the dollar and increasing market expectations for a Fed rate rise this month. Persian Gulf attacks also pressured prices by lifting oil prices.
