Ex — Liberty GTS president Bamford to join Orvia as M&A managing director

By George Abbott Oct 14 (The Insurer) — Former Liberty Global Transaction Solutions (GTS) president Rowan Bamford is to join Ardonagh-owned Orvia Underwriting as managing director of M&A insurance products, according to two underwriters familiar with the move. Bamford left Liberty earlier this year. The insurer named Gareth Rees as his successor with effect from July 1. Orvia is Ardonagh’s pan-European MGA platform, launched in January to bring together businesses across London and Europe with a combined portfolio exceeding €250 million in gross written premium. Orvia and Bamford did not respond to requests for comment.
