POLL — US crude stocks, product inventories likely fell last week
(.) Oct 14 (Reuters) — US crude oil stockpiles were expected to have fallen last week alongside product inventories, an extended Reuters poll showed on Wednesday. Nine analysts polled by Reuters estimated, on average, that crude inventories fell by about 300,000 barrels in the week ended October 9. The poll was conducted ahead of scheduled weekly reports from the American Petroleum Institute at 4:30 p.m. EDT (2030 GMT) on Wednesday and the Energy Information Administration, the statistical arm of the US Department of Energy, at 12:00 p.m. EDT (1600 GMT) on Thursday. Both reports are delayed by a day this week on account of the Columbus Day holiday in the US on Monday. Crude inventories fell by 3.2 million barrels to 424.1 million barrels in the week ended October 2, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.7 million-barrel rise.
