Citigroup Now See 25bp Fed Rate Hike In December 2026 Vs Prior Forecast Of No Change This Year

Citigroup now expects the Federal Reserve to raise rates by 25bp in December after US September core CPI came in significantly above expectations. The bank had previously expected the Fed to keep policy unchanged for the remainder of the year.
