France experiences major power outage affecting tens of thousands of customers amid heatwave
**Insight: Reports range from ~68K households to ~106K customers at the peak - while France is under an exceptional heatwave.
This follows, and is directionally consistent with, recent warnings that heat was stressing France’s power system: EDF had already curtailed/shut nuclear output at Golfech, Nogent-sur-Seine and Bugey due to river-temperature constraints, though RTE had said the overall grid remained secure.
