TABLE — FOB US cash millfeed prices
CHICAGO, Oct 13 (Reuters) — US cash millfeed prices were steady to weaker on Tuesday, pressured by strong flour mill output and cheaper prices for corn, a competing ingredient in livestock feed rations, dealers said. Flour mills in the Midwest and Plains generally were running about six days this week, generating ample millfeed supplies, one broker said. Bids and offers for millfeeds were poorly defined and far apart in the interior Kansas-Oklahoma market. Benchmark Chicago Board of Trade corn futures closed nearly unchanged on Tuesday but ingredient markets were still adjusting to a roughly 4% drop in futures last week, after US Department of Agriculture raised its estimate of the 2026 US corn harvest. "The Board got thumped," the broker said of CBOT corn prices last week, "so nearbys (millfeed prices) are off." CBOT December corn settled down 1/4 cent on Tuesday at $4.82-3/4 and remained well below a contract high set on September 2 at $5.49-3/4.
