Contour secures Lloyd’s capacity to expand cyber and tech E&O offering
By Michael Loney Oct 13 (The Insurer) — Contour Underwriting, an Amwins Global Risks-backed specialist MGA, has added £5 million ($6.6 million) of primary and £10 million of excess capacity through Lloyd’s to launch its cyber and technology errors and omissions proposition. The capacity gives Contour the platform to write global cyber and technology E&O. "Our capacity partners provide a strong and stable platform for long-term growth in the global cyber insurance market,” said Matthew Waller, cyber underwriting director at Contour. Contour Cyber also delivers services including threat intelligence, exposure management and claims services to provide support to brokers and clients throughout the full lifecycle of the cyber policy. Waller’s hire at Contour from Travelers Europe was confirmed in May. At that time, Waller told The Insurer the business would initially offer cyber cover to existing SME customers of Unicorn Underwriting, which is also part of Amwins Global Risks. London-based MGA Contour has expertise across marine cargo, worldwide property, financial institutions and cyber, and serves clients in 22 countries.
