US Cash Soymeal — Basis offers flat in muted trade

CHICAGO, Oct 13 (Reuters) — Cash basis offers for soymeal were unchanged at rail and truck terminals in the US Midwest on Tuesday, dealers said. The ongoing soybean harvest has replenished soybean crushers with fresh material. US farmers have harvested 44% of the nation's soybean crop, analysts said ahead of the Department of Agriculture's weekly crop progress report on Tuesday. Farmers have taken advantage of improved weather conditions to harvest crops after rain delayed progress in late September. Many have focused on harvesting soybeans before corn. CIF bids and offers ticked lower. On the Chicago Board of Trade, December soymeal futures were last $6 lower at $362.60 per short ton. CBOT November soybeans were last 3 cents lower at $12.84-1/2 per bushel.
