UPDATE 1 — EU 2026/27 soft wheat exports stable year on year at October 11

(Adds percentage change and main countries) Oct 13 (Reuters) — European Union soft wheat exports for the 2026/27 season that started in July reached 7.99 million metric tons by October 11, up from 7.52 million tons a week earlier and similar to the same stage last season, European Commission data showed on Tuesday. Romania was the largest EU soft wheat exporter with 3.5 million tons, followed by Lithuania (1.22 million tons), Poland (0.9 million tons), Latvia (0.8 million tons) and Bulgaria (0.73 million tons). However, French export data has been incomplete since the start of 2024. For Bulgaria and Ireland, data has been incomplete since the start of the 2023/24 marketing year. For Greece, data has been incomplete since January. EU barley exports had reached 2.10 million tons, up from 1.97 million tons the previous week but down 42% year on year.
