At the same time, grid-scale energy storage projects are being developed across Illinois to strengthen grid reliability and to combat rising electricity prices. With the passage of the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act in 2025, Illinois is positioning energy storage as a key tool for supporting economic growth, meeting future energy needs, and managing rising electricity costs. "As energy storage technologies become increasingly common in our daily lives, communities and emergency responders deserve access to resources that help them stay ahead of the curve," said Mike Marsch, Vice President of Development at TPE.
” TPE developed the Program to help communities build knowledge, capabilities, and confidence as they adapt to evolving energy infrastructure. Funding will become available prior to project construction, enabling emergency service providers and local authorities to begin planning and preparation well before a facility becomes operational. This new Program builds on TPE's longstanding commitment to community investment. 3 million in community investments to local organizations and nonprofit partners.
1 million to support a wide range of educational, social service, youth development, and community organizations. 5 Gigawatts (GW) of large-scale solar, community solar, and energy storage projects operating or under development across the United States. At every stage of development, our team adapts to each client’s needs and finds ways to invest in our clients and their communities…at every turning point. com and join TPE on LinkedIn.
