Novacore acquires Wexler — led cross — border trucking specialist Diesel

By Chris Munro Oct 13 (The Insurer) — Novacore said on Tuesday it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Diesel Insurance Solutions, giving the New Mountain Capital-backed platform a dedicated cross-border trucking and cargo capability. California-based Diesel is an MGU specializing in cross-border trucking, physical damage and cargo coverage. The company is led by founder and CEO Jason Wexler, formerly head of insurance underwriting at Procore Technologies and founder, director, chief operating officer and chief underwriting officer of Cover Whale. Wexler, whose career also includes stints at Everest Insurance, IFG Companies, Colony Specialty, Aspen Insurance and The Hartford, established Diesel in 2024.
