TABLE — FOB US cash millfeed prices
CHICAGO, Oct 12 (Reuters) — US cash millfeed prices were steady to mixed on Monday, pressured in some regions by ample supplies and falling prices for corn, a competing ingredient in livestock feed rations, dealers said. Spot millfeed offers fell by $5 a ton in the Buffalo, New York, truck market. But offers rose by $5 in Portland, Oregon. Flour mills in the Midwest and Plains generally were running six days a week, generating ample millfeed supplies, ingredient brokers said last week. Benchmark Chicago Board of Trade corn futures firmed slightly on Monday, steadying after a 4% plunge on Friday when the US Department of Agriculture surprised traders by raising its estimate of the US 2026 corn yield. CBOT December corn settled up 3-1/4 cents on Monday at $4.83 a bushel, but remained well below a contract high set on September 2 at $5.49-3/4.
