Treasury Yields End Eventful Week Lower -- Market Talk

1559 ET - Treasury yields slip as the bonds selloff ease to end another eventful week ahead of key U.S. inflation data. September CPI is due Wednesday, two weeks before the Fed's expected hold. Long-dated yields climb down from fresh 24-year highs after investors flock to Treasury auctions that pay the highest yields in a quarter-century. President Trump announces a deal with Russia to supply diesel to global markets in an effort to ease energy inflation. Trump also renews the push to oust Fed's Lisa Cook, reviving concerns about central bank independence. The 10-year yield slips 0.033 percentage point to 5.243% this week.
