1230 ET - Aritzia gave investors the earnings beat they wanted, says Irene Nattel of RBC. In a report, she notes that Ebitda doubled year-over-year, which was 23% above forecast "by stronger than forecast revenues across geographies and channels and better than forecast gross margins and SG&A leverage." She says that this was backed by existing customer loyalty and successful new customer acquisition through strong product, effective marketing strategies, geographic expansion and accelerating digital growth. "ATZ delivered another exceptional quarter in ways in which investors should want to see," she says. The momentum is carrying over into 3Q, with the upper end of the quarter's guidance 6% above prior forecast. Shares are up 15% to C$140.44.
