Zelenskiy says Ukraine power grid damaged; orders infrastructure ministry takeover
Zelenskiy said multiple grid and transmission facilities were damaged and repair teams are working around the clock. He ordered the Infrastructure Ministry and regional military administrations to assume primary responsibility for restoring damaged power assets and normal supply as quickly as possible, after Oct. 8 Energy Ministry reports of Russian strikes hitting Kyiv’s power-supply grid and causing widespread outages and unstable supply in parts of the capital, affecting large numbers of users.
