Avolon places aircraft order for Boeing and Airbus jets
Avolon agreed to order 140 aircraft from Boeing and 110 from Airbus, with an option for 100 additional jets.
Global leasing firm Avolon said on Friday it has agreed to order 140 aircraft from Boeing NYSE:BA and 110 aircraft from Airbus EURONEXT:AIR, with an option to buy another 100 jets from the European planemaker. Dublin-based Avolon, a subsidiary of China's Bohai Leasing Co Ltd SZSE:000415, said the order is part of its fleet expansion plans.
