Los Angeles, Long Beach ports consider zero-emission truck subsidies
The ports are considering paying truckers $60 per container pickup or drop-off with a zero-emission vehicle, up to $36,000 a truck annually, over three years. The proposal is aimed at helping carriers cover the higher costs of battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell rigs.
