0534 GMT - The outlook for fixed income appears brighter despite the recent performance setbacks, says Benoit Anne at MFS Investment Management in a note. "This mainly reflects an improvement in the duration landscape," the head of market insights says. The market's repricing the Federal Reserve rate policy is now well advanced, and has perhaps moved into overpricing at this juncture, he says. "This may help cap the upside risks to rates from the standpoint of monetary policy." Separately, the upward momentum in U.S. long-end rates seems to have slowed somewhat, although the fiscal challenges remain intact, Anne says.
