0504 GMT - Pimco continues to view intermediate-term U.S. Treasurys--five- to seven-year maturities--as attractive and is taking a more favorable view of longer-term bonds as their yields rise, economist Tiffany Wilding and global fixed income CIO Andrew Balls say. Pimco identifies the U.S. and France as the two countries with the most challenging debt trajectories, anticipating that fiscal concerns will continue to trigger bouts of volatility in global bond markets, they say. Regarding U.S. monetary policy, Pimco expects the Federal Reserve to maintain its general policy framework and 2% inflation target, although changes in communication could drive volatility in short-term rates.
