SEC exemption opens path for tokenized equities

The SEC’s new exemption is shaping the structure of tokenized stock markets and could accelerate launches by firms including OKX-ICE venture, Robinhood, Coinbase and Securitize. The rule requires tokenized shares to carry the same rights as conventional shares and gives issuers 30 days to opt out.
