BlueMatrix agrees to acquire Aiera

BlueMatrix said it has entered into an agreement to acquire Aiera. The companies expect the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Combination creates an AI-ready infrastructure layer connecting research providers worldwide to client AI systems, with governance, attribution, and controls NEW YORK and MIAMI, Oct. 8, 2026 // -- BlueMatrix, the global leader in capital markets content publishing technology, announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Aiera, a consortium-backed content delivery platform, to bring research authoring, governance and AI distribution together on a single stack. BlueMatrix's acquisition of Aiera is backed by Thoma Bravo, the world's largest software-focused investment firm and the company's majority shareholder. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The combination answers one of the defining questions for research in the AI era: how can research move efficiently into buy-side AI systems while carrying clear authorship, governance and attribution? Investment managers today navigate multiple platforms to access governed research from different providers. BlueMatrix brings an established research authoring and governed AI distribution network serving more than 1,000 financial institutions and over 7,000 analysts worldwide.

Aiera's technology, built with the backing of leading global research providers, offers AI-ready infrastructure for permissioned, transparently sourced and auditable access to proprietary financial content. Together, the companies intend to combine Aiera's technology and BlueMatrix's reach across the entire universe of published research, spanning broker research, expert insights, news, live events, transcripts and filings. The combined company brings the ecosystem together around a single, governed standard for research distribution in the AI era.

"When AI consumes research, questions around attribution, intellectual property and entitlements become critical," said David Nable, Chief Executive Officer of BlueMatrix. "Governed AI consumption requires research that is structured for machine-readable delivery, carries declared rights and persistent attribution from the point of authoring, and produces an auditable record of how it is consumed. With Aiera, we can extend AI distribution on terms set by the provider, governed from the point of authoring through to the query, while expanding our reach across the industry.

" "Aiera was built with many of the world's leading financial institutions around a simple conviction: AI would fundamentally change how investment research is discovered, analyzed and consumed, and the industry would need trusted infrastructure to make that transition possible," said Ken Sena, Chief Executive Officer of Aiera. "We've spent years building that access layer, with the governance, attribution and controls research providers require. " "Institutional investors are building AI capabilities at a rapid pace, and demand for research they can license into those systems has never been stronger," said Adam Solomon, a Partner at Thoma Bravo.

"Our work with many of the world's leading financial institutions gives us direct visibility into this need, and we see significant opportunity for the combined company to address it. " The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
