Amazon cuts fewer than 1,000 corporate roles in retail

Amazon said it is trimming corporate staffing in its core retail operation as part of a yearlong workforce reshaping effort, affecting fewer than 1,000 white-collar positions, including roles in customer service, marketplace support, seller services and engineering.
