India 10-year yield hits Dec 2023 peak on US rout
Indian government bond yields were pressured as a US debt rout and surging oil prices compounded effects from the Reserve Bank of India's first rate hike since Dec 2023.
Indian government bonds fell sharply on Thursday as an intensifying US debt rout and rising oil prices added to pressure after the Reserve Bank of India’s first rate hike since December 2023 the previous day. Crude oil prices rose 5% to above $105 a barrel in Asian trade.
