Shares of oil marketing companies, aviation firms, paint manufacturers and tyre makers dropped about 1-5 percent on Thursday as crude oil prices surged amid renewed concern over supply disruptions in the Middle East. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), aviation firms, paint manufacturers and tyre makers were among those hit in the move.
