US FDA expands Novartis drug use for chronic itchy welts
The US FDA expanded use of Novartis’ BX:NOT drug to treat adults with symptomatic dermographism, a chronic skin condition causing recurring itchy welts, the Swiss drugmaker said.
The US Food and Drug Administration has expanded the use of Novartis' BX:NOT drug for adults with a chronic skin condition that causes recurring itchy welts, the Swiss drugmaker said on Wednesday. The condition, called symptomatic dermographism, is a form of chronic hives in which scratching, rubbing or pressure on the skin can trigger raised, itchy welts.
