India close: Sensex down 0.59% to 72,638.70; rupee 96.7750; 10-year yield 7.2410%

Sensex closed 0.59% lower at 72,638.70 and Nifty 50 fell 0.76% to 22,603.05. The rupee finished 0.4% weaker at 96.7750 per dollar; the 10-year bond was quoted at 97.935 rupees with yield up nearly 5 bps to 7.2410%. Overnight OIS rose to 6.25% (one-year) and 6.7225% (five-year); call money was 5.15% and TREPS 5.03%.
