India close: Sensex down 0.59% at 72,638.70; rupee at 96.7750

BSE Sensex fell 0.59% to 72,638.70 and NSE Nifty 50 dropped 0.76% to 22,603.05; rupee ended 0.4% weaker at 96.7750. Benchmark 10-year yield rose nearly 5 bps to 7.2410%. One-year OIS at 6.25% and five-year OIS at 6.7225%. Overnight call money 5.15% and overnight TREPS 5.03%, after the central bank raised rates and shifted to “calibrated tightening”.
