Shell raises Q3 gas production forecast to 740,000-780,000 boed

SHELL: Shell's third-quarter integrated gas production was expected to be about 740,000 to 780,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, the company said on Wednesday, compared with a previously expected a range of 570,000 to 630,000 boed. HEADLAM: British flooring distributor Headlam said it plans to sell certain parts of its business as it faces mounting pressure to repay creditors, after rising build costs and a prolonged downturn in construction strained finances. PENNON: British water utility Pennon launched a fully underwritten £550 million ($728.48 million) rights issue and cut its dividend, to support additional investment aimed at fixing operational problems at its regulated water business. * HSBC: HSBC is planning major job cuts in its UK wealth management business, including fewer financial advisers and specialist staff, as part of a wider push to use artificial intelligence, the FT reported. SHELL: Shell began evacuating non-essential workers from several offshore production assets in the US Gulf of Mexico ahead of an approaching storm, the company said. ANTOFAGASTA: Two unions at Chile's Centinela copper mine rejected further contract talks with Antofagasta Minerals and will strike after mediation efforts failed to produce a deal. OIL: Oil prices climbed on supply concerns from a storm threatening US oil regions and Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, despite higher Middle East crude supplies. GOLD: Gold prices slipped as investors awaited minutes from the US Federal Reserve's September meeting for clues on the interest rate outlook. METALS: Copper prices receded slightly, weighed by rising oil prices and gains in the US dollar.
