Microsoft reportedly secures cloud-streaming rights for GTA VI at launch

Sources say Grand Theft Auto VI will be streamable only through Xbox Cloud Gaming at launch. Microsoft also plans pay-as-you-go Xbox Cloud Gaming in November and new monthly streaming limits for some Game Pass tiers.

Microsoft reportedly secured exclusive cloud-streaming rights for Take-Two’s Grand Theft Auto VI at launch, giving Xbox Cloud Gaming a major advantage when the game releases in November. " Microsoft previously announced a multiyear partnership with AMD to develop future Xbox hardware, including its next-generation console. Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans said GTA VI will be streamable only through Xbox Cloud Gaming at launch; the duration of the exclusivity agreement was not disclosed. With Rockstar Games yet to announce a PC version, cloud streaming could give PC and mobile users access without owning an Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5.

Microsoft will introduce pay-as-you-go Xbox Cloud Gaming in November while limiting monthly streaming to 15 hours for Game Pass Ultimate, 10 hours for Premium and five hours for Essential subscribers.
