S&P 500 Reaches Record Highs Driven by Mega-Cap Stocks

The S&P 500 achieved its 28th record close of the year, with performance largely driven by the largest companies. The S&P 500 Equal Weighted Index, which gives more favor to smaller companies, also rose, but the market-cap weighted index saw its biggest firms lead the gains.
